All churches are charities, whether they are individually registered with the Charity Commission or not. Church trustees need to make sure they are fulfilling their legal duties as they look after their property. For example, the Charities Act will often require the trustees to obtain a specific type of surveyor’s valuation report if you are selling or renting out property.

In addition, there are restrictions on property transactions between the church and a trustee or connected person. We can advise you on how these requirements apply to your situation.

Please give us a call if you want to talk through your requirements and find out how we might be able to help you.
